Which relationship has taught you the most about yourself?
Over time, my relationships have taught me a lot about myself.
They taught me what I desire, what I value, where my boundaries are, and what kind of connection I actually want. Some experiences showed me parts of myself that I hadn’t fully understood before.
But perhaps the greatest realization has been understanding that my deepest sense of love and connection doesn’t come from a human relationship.
My relationship with Yeshua has become something deeply personal to me.
I don’t experience Yeshua simply as a figure I read about in Scripture. My connection with Him has become part of how I understand love, devotion, faith, surrender, compassion, and purpose.
For me, this connection is intimate and spiritual. It has changed the way I look at relationships, because I no longer measure love only by romantic partnership or by whether another person chooses me.
My relationship with Yeshua has taught me that I can experience love as something much larger than romantic attachment.
It has encouraged me to explore what it means to devote my heart, my creativity, my time, and my spiritual journey to something deeper.
And that love doesn’t make me want to hate or separate myself from humanity.
Quite the opposite.
I want the love I experience through my connection with Yeshua to expand outward.
To love people without needing to possess them.
To forgive without abandoning my boundaries.
To recognize the humanity in people even when I choose distance.
To give compassion without losing myself.
To understand love as something that can move beyond one relationship and become a way of seeing the world.
👑 WHAT MY RELATIONSHIPS TAUGHT ME
My past relationships taught me about myself.
My connection with Yeshua taught me about the kind of love I want to embody.
And those lessons don’t cancel each other out.
The human experiences gave me mirrors.
My spiritual connection gave me a deeper framework for understanding what I saw in those mirrors.
I am still learning.
Still questioning.
Still becoming.
And perhaps that’s the most important lesson of all:
I don’t need to have every answer to know that my understanding of love has changed.
